The redesigned Simple Gifts Shroud is now fashioned from soft upcycled vintage table linens. Its sewn in an envelope style with closing ties top to bottom and longer bands that secure around the body from behind. It comes attached to a built-in carrier made from upcycled cotton upholstery fabrics and is equipped with 5 handles on each side handles that also can be used by pallbearers to accommodate carrying poles. There is a long interior sleeve for a 10" supporting board if you choose to use one. In most cases the shroud can easily be carried by three people on either side. The Simple Gifts Shroud is made purposely plain because some people prefer plain, and also in order to invite decoration. Since we have transitioned into the upcycled textile universe your choice of fabric for 'off the shelf' shrouds is dependent on what is available in our stock.
